At least the ones I’ve been too!
Summer has faded, but that doesn’t mean rooftop bars have to end with it. As with any rooftop in NYC, the drinks can be a bit pricey, So I’m here to tell you which are worth a pretty penny.
Loopy Doopy Rooftop Bar:
As part of the Conrad Hotel in the Financial District this rooftop is quant and vibrant. Just a small terrace of a rooftop, the views extend over the Hudson beyond New Jersey. Deciding on a drink of choice? Loopy Doopy is famously known for their prosecco popsicle drinks. I mean when is wine not a good idea? Not to mention the added bonus of a Popsicle. Needless to say If you’re looking for a casual, your mom and dad just arrived in town and you want to show them what New York is all about kind of night, Loopy Doopy is your place.

*** Photo is not mine, the one I have is super blurry because it was taken at night. This one was taken by: The Conrad.
The Refinery Rooftop:
This place is great. Not to mention it was the first Rooftop in Manhattan I’ve been too. Let me be the first to tell you, it has the best view of the Empire State Building, the drinks are on-point, and the atmosphere just seems to top it all off. The Refinery is chic with a hint of classy. What I really loved was that the Rooftop was both inside and out. Half of the bar is outside on the patio, while the other half is covered indoors (which we all know is nice, due to the city’s crazy weather). If you arrive earlier on in the night the place is not as rambunctious. Towards the later hours it becomes a little more crowded. Overall, The Refinery is the place to be on the Weekends.

Cantina Rooftop
Cantina was at the top of my list when I first moved to New York, and I had heard a lot of great reviews about it. However, I was definitely a little disappointed when I first arrived. Let’s just say the so called “rooftop” is only about 12 floors high, and there is part of the building blocking the view. I will say that the drinks were amazing, but then again how can you go wrong with a Margarita. After a little while I started to warm up to the place. If you want to experience Cantina, be prepared it does not have the most appreciated view, but the food and atmosphere is well worth it. A must for a causal night out on the town.

The Press Lounge
The press Lounge is by far my absolute favorite rooftop in Manhattan. Let me start with the view. Oh my gosh, It is AMAZING! No need to invest time and energy into adventuring to The Top of The Rock or The Empire State Building when you can go here instead. The atmosphere at the Press is sophistication at its finest. This place just screams Great Gatsby. I will say the drinks are a bit pricey, but the workers don’t pressure you to grab a drink or you get kicked out type of situation. Pro tip: Arrive early for sunset and start your night here. Thats what I did, and it’s a good thing too because when I left their was a huge line out and around the corner. What I truly loved most about this place is that it resembles everything you think of when you picture such a wonderful city like New York City.
